M - Civil Union Visa
If you have an ongoing registered civil union or common Law marriage - UniΓ³n Marital de Hecho - for more than a year with a Colombian national, you are eligible to apply for the Colombian civil union visa.
M - Employee Visa
You are eligible for this visa if you have a job offer or employment contract with a Colombian company and the company is willing to sponsor your application.
M - Founder or shareholder Visa
If you incorporate a company in Colombia or buy shares in an existing Colombian company equivalent to at least 100 minimum wages, you can be eligible for this visa.
M - Independent professional Visa

M - Marriage Visa Visa
If you are married with a Colombian national, you are eligible to apply for the Colombian marriage visa.
M - Parent of a Colombian national by birth Visa
If you are the parent of a Colombian national by birth, you will be eligible to apply for this visa. A person is considered Colombian by birth if one of their parents is Colombian, or if both parents are foreigners, one of them is domiciled in Colombia at the time of birth.
M - Parent or child of a naturalized Colombian National Visa
If you are the parent or the child of a citizen who acquired the Colombian citizenship by adoption, you will be able to apply for this visa.
M - Retirement Visa
You are eligible for this visa if you receive a monthly pension from your home country's government amounting to at least $4,270,500 Colombian Pesos (COP) per month (2024).
R - Accumulated time in Colombia Visa
If you have held one or more Migrant (M) visas for the legally required duration, you may apply for a Resident visa based on accumulated time.
V - Business Visa
To carry out business activities, market research, direct investment plans or procedures, and the establishment of a commercial company, negotiation, contract signing, or commercial representation. This visa is intended for foreigners of nationalities that are not exempt from a visa for short visits, as established by Resolution, or those who, despite being exempt from a short-duration visa, require a longer stay in the country.
V - Digital Nomad Visa Visa
If you are a remote worker, entrepreneur, freelance or employee from any of the countries exempt from the short-stay visa for Colombia, you are eligible to apply for this visa.
V - Rentier (Annuity) Visa
If you receive a periodic and variable income from a legal source and are able to demonstrate it, you are eligible for this visa. For example, if you have properties rented and receive monthly a rent, you can apply for this visa.
V - Student Visa
If you enroll in an educational program with an education institute recognized by the Colombian government, you are eligible to apply for this visa.
V - Tourism Visa
Nationals from countries that are not exempt from the short-stay visa requirement for Colombia, who wish to visit the country for tourism or cultural purposes.
M - Andean migrant Visa
For nationals of any of the States Parties of the "Andean Migratory Statute," applying the principle of reciprocity.
M - Mercosur Visa
Nationals of the States Parties to the "Agreement on Residence for Nationals of the States Parties of Mercosur, Bolivia, and Chile," applying the principle of reciprocity. This visa is equivalent to the Temporary Resident Visa established in said agreement.
R - By Colombian nationality renounce Visa
For foreigners who, having been Colombian citizens by birth or adoption, renounced their Colombian nationality.
V - Administrative and/or judicial procedures Visa
This visa is to expedite administrative or judicial procedures before entities or authorities in Colombia.
V - Airport transit Visa
An airport transit visa, also known as a transit visa, is a type of visa that allows a traveler to pass through the international transit area of an airport without entering the country to pick another flight. It is typically required when a person needs to change flights in a country but does not intend to enter that country's territory. The purpose of an airport transit visa is to enable travelers to continue their journey and reach their final destination by connecting flights.
V - Cinematic productions or documentaries Visa
This visa allows its holder to participate in large format cinematic productions or documentaries.
V - Crew member Visa
This visa is for people who work on the sea, in the jurisdictional waters of Colombia. To work in Colombian jurisdictional waters as a crew member on a vessel, dredger, or offshore platform.
V - Events Visa
This visa allows its holder to attend conventions and business, cultural, or academic activities as a speaker, exhibitor, participant, artist, athlete, judge, contestant, organizer, or logistics personnel.
V - Independent contractor - specific project Visa
In some events, a foreigner might have to come to Colombia to work under a per project contract for a company, government agency or legal entity.
V - Internationalization promotion Visa
This visa is for productive, innovative, or research activities aimed at adopting or adapting technologies that complement or develop products, processes, or services that contribute to strengthening the country's competitiveness. Also for activities that contribute to incorporating knowledge into the priorities of national, regional, and territorial development plans; or for activities or professions pre-established by the Directorate of Migration Affairs, Consular Affairs, and Citizen Services, which contribute to the internationalization of the country.
V - Internship Visa
The V-Internship Visa in Colombia is open to any passport holder of one of the short-stay visa exempted countries (like US, Canada, Australia, European Union, Israel, Argentina and many others)
V - Journalistic coverage Visa
Journalists often require a special kind of visa because their work involves reporting on events and gathering information in countries other than their own. These visas, commonly known as journalist visas or press visas, are specifically designed to grant journalists the necessary legal permission to enter a country and perform their professional duties.
V - Medical treatment Visa
You can apply for this visa category to assist as a patient or to accompany someone to medical and dental appointments, procedures, or treatments. This visa is granted for specific treatments, prioritizing those of a specific duration that are part of the exportable medical services offered to foreigners.
V - Non-accredited officials Visa
To serve as a commercial representative officer of a foreign state or territory government or specialized governmental agency, on a mission that does not involve accreditation before the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
V - Permanent correspondent journalist Visa
Journalists often require a special kind of visa because their work involves reporting on events and gathering information in countries other than their own. These visas, commonly known as journalist visas or press visas, are specifically designed to grant journalists the necessary legal permission to enter a country and perform their professional duties.
V - Religious Visa
This visa allows its holder to work in the exercise of religious ministry or to serve as a missionary of a religious entity duly recognized by the Colombian State.
V - Religious student / volunteer Visa
This visa allows its holder to enter and stay in the country as a volunteer or student in religious formation or to carry out theological studies in an institute or organization affiliated with a church or religious denomination duly recognized by the Colombian State.
V - Seasonal agricultural worker Visa
This visa allows its holder to perform seasonal agricultural tasks under programs established by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, or by the Regional Government authorities in coordination with the agricultural sector, the Ministry of Labor, and the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. These programs will specify the estimated available quotas and the specific tasks that require labor support.
V - Technical assistance Visa
This visa allows its holder to provide technical assistance to a legal entity in Colombia.
V - TPA Entrepreneurs Visa
This visa was created to facilitate the mobility of entrepreneurs or business persons, in accordance with commitments made by Colombia under Trade Promotion Agreements signed and in force with other States.
V - Unforeseen cases Visa
This visa will be granted for situations and circumstances not covered in the other categories. It will be issued exceptionally and only after careful evaluation by the Visa and Immigration Authority.
V - Volunteer Visa
This visa category is fit for any foreign national who wants to engage in social volunteering or development cooperation
V - Working Holiday Visa
The Working holiday Visa in Colombia is open to young applicants from the age 18 to 30 (included), who are nationals of countries with which Colombia has a current working holiday agreement.
