2. Notarized letter signed by your spouse

You must attach a visa request letter signed and notarized by your Colombian spouse, through which he/she will state your current effective cohabitation. This letter is crucial, it will be thoroughly reviewed by the authorities and must be prepared with attention to the personal and legal circumstances of each family.

Special power of attorney, signed and notarized, by which the Colombian national grants his/her foreign spouse the authorization to apply for this visa. The power of attorney must be notarized by both of the spouses.

4. Certificate of migratory movements

You will need to get the certificate of migratory movements of both you and your spouse. These are called โ€œCertificado de Movimientos Migratoriosโ€, which can be obtained before Migraciรณn Colombia by filling this form and pick it up when itโ€™s ready to the nearest Migraciรณn Office from your residence.

Tip: the migratory movements shows all your entry and exits from and to Colombia from the past 5 years. If you're applying from Colombia, make sure that it shows your latest entry to the country and if you are applying from abroad, make sure it shows your latest exit to the country otherwise the visa authority can request additional information or archive your application.
