Who can apply for this visa?

The V-Internship Visa in Colombia is open to any passport holder of one of the short-stay visa exempted countries (like US, Canada, Australia, European Union, Israel, Argentina and many others)

Benefits and Restrictions

Up to one year validity

It allows you to perform your intership for Colombian companys for up to 1 year.

This visa doesn’t allow beneficiaries

It won’t allow you to bring your spouse or children with you.

No work permit

It doesn’t allow you to work in Colombia.

No time accrue towards residency

Since it is a visitor-type (V) visa, this won’t allow you to add time in order to apply for a residency or (R) visa.

Requirements

This visa must be sponsored and applied by a Colombian legal entity.

The Type V Visa must be directly requested by the legal entity responsible in Colombia for the applicant, subject to compliance with the following requirements:

You’ll be required to attach an internship contract signed by the legal representative of the Colombian legal entity that is sponsoring your visa application.

Submit a motivational letter signed by the legal representative of the legal entity, containing the following information:
